Burton Snowboards Australia / NZ are sponsors of the weekly community field observations competition that has been running since 2021. 
Burton AU/NZ contacted Avalanche Australia and wanted to get involved in production of the local Avalanche forecast after the horror backcountry statistics in the US from the winter in 2020-21. They wanted to make sure that Australia stayed safe and we are glad to say that we had no major incidents in the winter of 2021.
